Value that we know oneself
We are always looking for oneself. Because we think oneself is incomplete, we will try to add what is missing to oneself. We keep to be looking for what is lacking to oneself in the world. It is a work, an ability, property, friends, lovers, a family, health, and a thought.
We find them from the world, and will incorporate into oneself. Then gradually oneself increases. A lot of experiences and memories will be stacked in us. We will be happy to look at them.
However, even if we have gathered a lot of experience in the world, we are not satisfied. We are always lacking something. If we think that love is not enough, we will cherish the feelings of love. If we think that God is insufficient, we begin to pray God. If we think that freedom is missing, we begin to live freely.
Even if we tried to do so, we can not be satisfied. We do not know what is missing. Because we do not know what is missing, to try to collect a lot more. And we will be more and more bloated.
We just became a bloated memory. We have a variety of experience, and have a lot of knowledge. Only one point, we remain missing to know oneself.
Who is true oneself? Masters have referred about oneself. "True oneself is existence that is not lost absolutely." "True oneself is never change to other than oneself." "True oneself is a subjectivity, is not the objectivity."
Because the body and mind does not conform to this condition, they are not oneself. They are lost or changed. Than anything, they are objects. Knowledge that is stacked in the memory is not true oneself. Any ability, property, human relations is not oneself. Feelings and personality are not oneself. Love, God, and freedom are not true oneself.
Where does true oneself exist? True oneself that we believed was not at all true oneself. Even if we collected many oneself, they are not match to conditions of true oneself.
If we do not know true oneself, we would try to find oneself in the work, property, or ability. Even if they are not true of oneself, it is only possible to find what seem that there is more valuable. Even if the result is vain, we can only continue to seek them.
If we do not know the figure of the true oneself, we have no choice. Because we do not know where we have to be looking for oneself, we have given up to find oneself. Oneself who we are looking for is just the result of a compromise.
We have to continue to seek true oneself. We have to know the place where it exists and how to can be found. Meditation is for that. By meditation, we can find a place that did not try to see until now. We can find an existence that is no motion and does not change and does not object.
But, we can not find the value to existence that have no movement and no change and is not an object. It is different from the value that we know. Even if we know true oneself, we can not think that it has worth. Therefore, even if we were aware of true oneself, we would go back to the world for seeking oneself.
What is the value of knowing true oneself? True oneself is in the place where is beyond value judgments of mind. Even if there is no value in true oneself, it has more valuable than anything in the universe in places beyond the mind of value judgments. Mind just determined that it is stone, is not gem.
True oneself is material of all things. All that we are seeking in the world is made of this material. In other words, all that we are seeking in the world is not in the other true oneself.
Did you obtain that there is more value? We always judge by appearance. Only by relying on our five senses, we have decided its worth. However, the true oneself exists in the place where is beyond the look and senses. Without this existence, it can not exist anything of the universe.
That we are all of the material is the value of true oneself. The universe can not exist, if there are no true oneself. Everyone has this truth. There is the person without the value nowhere. The best value is already given to all the people.
Therefore, we should know the true of oneself. If we know it, we will know all of the universe. When we just know oneself, we will know all.
