What is YOGA?

Yoga means to be integrated. What will be integrated? It is to be integrate mind and consciousness. Mind is a thinking. It is always moving. Consciousness does not move in the background of mind. It just is quietly there.

Our core is this consciousness. However we believe our thinking is oneself. Since we think our thinking is oneself, oneself is always come and go. Since we are swayed that mind is always come and go, we do not know who is oneself.

If changed thinking is oneself, oneself is always changing. Because it has changed, we have never settle in one location. As far as we believe that oneself are our thinking, we will try to seek oneself in thinking.

However, as far as thinking is moving, it is not possible to find it. Even if we were looking for oneself in our thinking, it would be endless quest. After all, we can not find oneself in our thinking. Yoga will integrate ourselves into one. True self is one consciousness without motion.

If we want to know oneself, we will stop the seeking in the thinking, and have to find the consciousness without movement. It can be found in the place that does not anything. For this purpose, we should be sit quietly with our eyes closed. That meditation will result in yoga.

Meditation makes mind one in consciousness. So we know oneself that will not be change. It is not a thinking that has stopped. It is origin of thinking. Our thinking can be born by this origin.

This origin is the origin of oneself. However, mind is not satisfied that there is no motion. Since the mind has believed that there is value to thinking, can not find value in that there is no thinking.

Once we knew that the consciousness is our origin, the mind has to understand more about it. Otherwise, mind tries to make a experience of consciousness. Experience is past. Consciousness is not past. It is the reality at this moment.

Mind tries to add the motion to it, because mind resists to consciousness in doing nothing. There is pushed the value of mind by being called love or compassion or God, and it tries to convert into something valuable to mind.

Once mind has been converted oneself to the value something, yoga is lost. We move away from integrated oneself. In order to avoid this situation, we meditate eagerly, and have to be understood to mind that it is oneself.

When mind understood that oneself is consciousness, we know that thinking is motion arising from its origin. It is a motion that arose from oneself, and is not core of oneself. Mind settles on understanding that oneself is quiet consciousness, and thinking is not oneself.

However, mind tries to return many times on the understanding that thinking is oneself. And it tries to exclude the existence of consciousness from oneself. If we moves away from the origin, we return to the state that lost sight of ourselves again. Mind takes time to fully understand oneself.

When we can not become to separate from the state in which it is integrated, yoga is completed. We can not exist in except that we are consciousness. If so, even though thinking is seemed like oneself, we cannot deny that oneself is consciousness.

The highest pose in yoga is that mind and consciousness become one, and keep a state that has remained at one point. It is state that occurs in our mind. it is not state that occurs to our body.
